Week 6

Test on Chs. 3, 4  (PART OF CH. 5 IF WE GET TO IT)

I'll wait for any new assignments due till after the exam, but keep looking, since some of the work may be good practice for the exam.

THERE WILL BE NO FORMULA SHEET ON THIS ONE, SINCE MANY OF THE QUESTIONS ASK YOU TO RECALL THE SPECIFIC FORMULA'S.

Keplers laws---know them, and know how to use Keplers 3rd law in the manner presented in class.

Be able to sketch an ellipse and label /identify each of the items relating to it.

Newtons Laws--know them.  Know how to apply for elevator problem as discussed in class.

Temperature and heat, know what is meant by each temperature scale and doubling the temperature.

Calculate kinetic energy

IF WE GET TO THIS----Identify wave properties, velocity, frequency, wavelength, and amplitude.

Other things, mass and keplers laws, aphelion, perihelion, acceleration, velocity, weightlessness, energy, temperature, universal law of gravitation, galileo.

Know, speed of light, "g", and how to convert temps to kelvin from Celsius and back.
