Assignment 3 (Sept. 5)
You should have many 1Dim motion problems done---and in a neat well organized notebook. Continue reading on vectors and 2Dim motion, as well as a start on some of those problems. Quiz3 due by end of day Sept. 7th. Be looking at ch. 3 problems, while reading for ch. 4. Remember, that you are to have a good read on material completed before I lecture on that material. This means familiar with definitions and formulas, able to practice problems with book support.
Quiz 3 is on projectile motion (ch. 4). Be looking at this and asking questions online, in office, in class....
If you don't have those kinematic equations nailed down, then you are not coming into class prepared at this point (two weeks in, near halfway to first test).
You should all be keeping a notebook of well written problem solutions. If you have a good solid understanding, 2 or so a day may be enough. If not, do more practice.
The first test will cover 1dim motion, 2 dim motion, and force problems. Be working on problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Note, if you understand 2D motion, then you understand 1D motion.
