Good work on the exams
Geometric optics and wave optics.
Ch. 26-6,37,38,41,47,58,59,66,74,90
Note, I may cover topics in a different order than in the text. We also will look at lenses and lens equations, and discuss how to apply same ideas to mirrors...with very little change they behave the same way. So I will talk about the differences but not go over ....the same thing again (mirrors). As you do homeworks you should make use of the physlet "optics bench" in I35.1 Just play with it and see how it relates to problems.
Some brief final exam notes:
The final will contain roughly 10 to 12 short problems (like the first five on a regular test). Then there will be a couple longer problems that are on current materials since the third test. That means geometric optics and wave optics. Then there will be four or five longer problems from which you select two. Those will cover materials from the rest of the course.
