Week 1 (Aug. 21)

Get started reading the text. Ch. 1  and Ch. 2 (skip sections 2.6,7,8,9). 

I may not cover all sections assigned in lecture, but you are still responsible for reading.

Some main points in ch. 1...refraction, optical path, Fermat's principle and Dispersion.
Ch. 2 Critical angle, PRISMS &MINIMUM DEVIATION.

HW1 (Due Friday Sept. 1)
