Exam 2 inclass portion comments
Things to know. Spherical charge distributions ...be able to find V(r) in and out for shells and or solids. This should actually be a "just write it down" kind of thing. Once you know V(r), be able to find E(r). ...or know it. Know how to determine work required to create distribution, and to move charge around in the distribution.
For a line or surface charge, be able to set up the integral expressions for direct integration over charge distribution to determine V(r). (not doing the integral, just set up). Be able to tell me (GIVEN THE POTENTIAL) how to find the E field, and any problems encountered. Be able to take limits.
Given an expression for V(r), find E field. Find charge density.
Two conducting plates at potentials. Find potential and E field.
